JOHANNA E. CALECA, ESQ., partner
Johanna E. Caleca, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Caleca and Towner, P.C., received a jurisprudence degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1982. Ms. Caleca was admitted to practice in March of 1983 by New York State and has also been to admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York since 1983.

Ms. Caleca holds a degree in English and Secondary Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and has received a Masters in Secondary Education from Hofstra University.

Ms. Caleca spent three and one-half (3 1/2) years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Nassau County District Attorney's Office and four (4) years as a law secretary to the Honorable Marie G. Santagata Acting Supreme Court Justice and supervising Judge of the Criminal Courts of Nassau County. Opening the law firm of Caleca and Towner, P.C. in 1990, Ms. Caleca served as the Village Attorney for the Incorporated Village of East Hampton from 1994 through 1997.

Ms. Caleca is member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Women's Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of New York State. She has been a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association's Grievance Committee since 1993.

Ms. Caleca's areas of professional practice are in criminal law, general litigation, custody, as well as business and real estate matters with an emphasis on zoning, and the purchase, sale and leasing of real property both commercial and residential.

ANDREW T. TOWNER, ESQ., partner
Andrew T. Towner, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Caleca and Towner, P.C., is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law having received his jurisprudence degree in 1987. Mr. Towner was admitted by the New York State Bar and the United States District Court Eastern District in 1987.

Mr. Towner was a former Captain in the United States Army serving from 1968 - 1972. In 1975 he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He received a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration from University of State of New York, Stony Brook in 1980. Mr. Towner served over twenty years with the Nassau County Police Department retiring as a detective in the Homicide Squad in 1993.

After being admitted to the New York State and Massachusetts Bars Mr. Towner was an associate with the law firm Rosen Weinberg (currently Rosen Leff) located in Hempstead, New York.

Mr. Towner is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, and Suffolk County Bar Association.

Mr. Towner's area of practice includes complex matrimonial and civil litigation, real estate transactions, commercial transactions, construction contracts, and appeals.

KRISTIN BLODORN, paralegal
Kristin Blodorn joined Caleca & Towner in May 2001 as a legal assistant. Ms. Blodorn is a 1997 graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with minors in Political Science and Psychology. She obtained her paralegal certificate in 2003 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

ASTRID EDWARDS, paralegal
Astrid Edwards joined the firm in April 2001. Prior to joining Caleca & Towner, P.C. Ms. Edwards was the senior litigation paralegal for Fowler, Rodriguez, Kingsmill, Flint & Gray, LLP located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ms. Edwards has extensive experience in all aspects of state and federal case work and trial preparation for a variety of matters including personal injury, family law matters, commercial transactions, as well as appellate work.

Ms. Edwards obtained her Bachelors Degree from Louisiana State University in May 1984. In addition to various legal and continuing education seminars, Ms. Edwards has attended the Paralegal Program at the University of New Orleans and participated in Post Graduate Studies at the University of London.
